Backgrounds

Little Puskas and Friends
Role: Director | Art Director
My goal was to create an animated world with a nostalgic tone while adapting it to a modern, dynamic cartoon style for children aged 5–8. As art director and background designer, I created environment designs and reference backgrounds that defined the locations and the visual atmosphere of the series.

The Thrilling Tales of Dreadful Draco
Role: Background Layout Artist | Background Designer | Background Artist
On this animated series, I created background layouts based on storyboard panels and environment designs, defining the composition, perspective, and staging of the scenes for the animation team. I also contributed to background painting and elements of the background design.

Fledglings
Role: Background Artist
In this animated series, I contributed as a background artist. Many backgrounds were created directly from real locations without layouts, using photographs as references, ensuring the settings felt authentic while supporting the story.

The Adventures of Bertie Beans
Role: Background Artist
This animated children’s series was based on the book by Ervin Lázár. I had to create detailed, vector-based backgrounds while closely following the layouts to match the series’ distinctive visual style.

Hugo Bumfeldt
Role: Background Artist
I contributed as a background artist on this short film, which was also the director’s graduation project at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME). It was a great experience painting backgrounds for this unique, atmospheric visual world.

Luther
Role: Background Artist
Working as a background artist on the Luther series was my first professional project after graduating in 2013. One of the most interesting challenges was combining ink-like digital painting with the director’s hand-drawn pen textures.
